I filed an appeal against an increased fare (fine) and did not receive an answer, how can I know the status of my appeal?

If 45 days have passed since the filing of the appeal and you have not yet received an answer, contact the service centers of Tevel Metro, the Dankal operator, at *9943 or via e-mail: Service@tevelmetro.co.il

What is expected to happen if I do not pay the increased fare imposed on me?

Failure to pay an increased fare (fine) by the deadline for payment may result in additional charges (interest, linkage, etc.). If the debt is not paid, it will be collected by the Enforcement and Collection Authority

Is it possible to appeal an increased fare?

To appeal an increased fare payment demand, you can submit a request using an objection form.

You can also file an appeal at the Dankal service centers located in Hatzrot Jaffa, 4 Shalma Rd., Tel Aviv-Yafo and at the Carlebach underground station in Tel Aviv.

How to pay an increased fare?

The increased fare can be paid in the following ways:

 

  1. On the Dankal website, click here.
  2. At Dankal customer service centers.
  3. At the Dankal call center *9943.

Who is charged an increased fare?

Passenger without a ticket.

Passenger who did not validate the ticket before boarding the train.

Passenger who did not present or hand over his ticket to the train controller.

 

Please Note! According to the instructions of the Ministry of Transportation, the purchase of the ticket does not constitute validation, therefore the purchased travel ticket must be validated before boarding the train.

What is an increased fare?

An increased fare is the full fare plus a NIS 180 fine.
