An increased fare is a demand for an increased payment imposed on a passenger who is on the train or alighted at the station and does not have a legally valid travel ticket. The amount charged is the full fare plus a NIS 180 fine according to law.

 

The charge will be imposed in the following cases

 

  • Travels without a ticket.
  • A passenger who failed to validate the ticket before boarding the train.
  • A passenger who failed to present or hand over his ticket to the train controller.

 

Please Note! Failure to pay the increased fare by the deadline for payment may result in additional charges (interest, linkage, etc.).

 

Increased Fare Payment Options

 

The increased fare can be paid in the following ways:

 

1. On the Dankal website, click here.

2. At the Dankal customer service centers.

3 . At the Dankal hotline at *9943.

 

Appealing an Increased Fare

 

If you wish to appeal the imposition of an increased fare payment, you may submit a request using an online form, via email at: Costumer.Service@tevelmetro.co.il, or by physically arriving to one of the service centers.

 

The appeal must include:

  •  Personal details (full name, ID number).
  •  Contact details (telephone or e-mail).
  •  Travel details: ticket type, date and time of travel, boarding station, alighting station.
  •  Report details: report number, place of receipt of the report, reason.
  •  Details of the objection: the claims and the facts.
  •  Copy of the report and any document in support of your claim.

 

Please Note! If 45 days have elapsed and you have not yet received an answer, contact the Dankal service center.
