What discounts am I entitled to with an accumulated value travel arrangement?

Accumulated value is an arrangement where a certain amount of money is loaded to the Rav-Kav card, which is then used for individual trips. In the various contracts, a discount is given on this arrangement according to the passengers’ discount profile (National Insurance claimants, disabled persons, senior citizens, students, children and youth)

At what age does it become mandatory to pay for a train ticket?

A child under the age of 5 is exempt from paying for travel by public transport if he is accompanied by a passenger who has paid the fare (the exemption is for one child only per passenger with a ticket. A second child is entitled to a 50% discount). Children aged 5-18 (or over 18 if they are studying in the 12th grade or in special education) are entitled to a 50% discount. I am entitled to an exemption from payment on public transport. How should I act?

To receive an exemption from payment for traveling on the Red Line, a suitable profile must be loaded to the Rav-Kav card.

Persons entitled to exemption from payment

  • Citizens aged 75 and over.
  • Blind people.
  • Volunteers – soldiers in the National Service, pre-military or semi-annual preparatory school, national service volunteers and service-year volunteers (on presentation of a valid certificate).
  • Children under the age of 5 (one child accompanied by an adult. A second child is entitled to a 50% discount).
  • Members of the security forces: soldiers in uniform, police officers and prison guards (on presentation of a valid certificate).
